December 17, 2009 Dear Friends in Quebec: I am writing to you to report that the Human Rights Institute has been moving forward in sending to the University of Alberta Archives more and more documented research about how the Government of Canada operates. This is also a special letter to our friends and members in Quebec to tell them that I no longer have any hope that Quebec can remain part of Canada. The Federal Government is changing Canada and Canadian history without Canadians having a voice. I wish it could be different, but it is not. The Federal Government is no longer concerned with the interests of Canadians outside Quebec. Whether it is the Cabinet, where French-speaking Quebecers hold important positions that advance the interests of Quebec, or the Public Service where English-speaking Canadians cannot get a decent job, the result is the same. The Federal Government is changing Canada into a French country without the consent of the people. WHAT ABOUT PRIME MINISTER HARPER? He is only interested in what will advance his support in Quebec. He not only speaks French and supports Quebec and the expansion of French in Canada, but he supports the expansion of Quebec internationally. REWRITING THE HISTORY OF CANADA We see the Harper Government's falsification of the history of Canada. The Speech from the Throne by the Governor General on October 16, 2007, claimed that the founding of Quebec City 400 years ago,"marks the founding of the Canadian state". That is nonsense. Quebec City was and is a city. Not a state. It was not even mentioned in the French-British treaty of 1763. The language falsehoods are woven into our Government at every level. The same Speech from the Throne treats Canada's Official Languages as somehow creating a "linguistic duality". They do not. They are one-sided and are not applied to Quebec. In June, 2008, Mr. Harper's Government released a "Roadmap for
Canada's Linguistic Duality". It announced a huge program across
Canada, with an "unprecedented Government-wide investment of $1.1
BILLION OVER FIVE YEARS," for that goal. PRIME MINISTER HARPER APPROVED THIS USE OF TAXPAYER FUNDS. USING IMMIGRATION TO MAKE CANADA A FRENCH COUNTRY Historically, one of the ways of destroying a country is by flooding
it with people of But that is where we are headed. On the basis of Mr. Harper's Roadmap,
the Honourable Jason Kenney, Minister of Citizenship, Immigration and
Multiculturalism, is bringing to Canada people from other races or groups
in former French colonies, to build up the Enclosed is a copy of my letter of September 1, 2009 to Minister Kenney,
demanding He has not replied. I need help. Please read my letter and distribute
copies. Write to WHY QUEBEC SHOULD STOP ITS WAR AGAINST ENGLISH-SPEAKING PEOPLE Because Quebec's war against Canada is destroying both Canada and Quebec. LOOKING AT THE FACTS We cannot function as a country if Quebec is independent
and the rest of Canada is not. Quebec's demands for special status discriminate
against the other Provinces. We cannot survive the enormous bilingualism costs to please Quebec. Costs of Federal Government bilingualism alone, since its inception, with interest, are estimated by Jim Allan, noted financial researcher, at more than 56 BILLION DOLLARS NOW. That discriminates against ALL Canadians. It affects their right to earn a living or to work within the Federal Government itself. What happens if Quebec is not part of Canada? Both could gain. A bilingual Quebec could become a success in
North America. WHAT YOU CAN DO I am asking English-speaking and French - speaking Quebeckers to understand the importance of Quebec getting out into the broad world on its own. Help liberate Canada from Quebec, by any means you can. By doing so, you will be helping define a better future for Quebec. And do not forget us. The Human Rights Institute of Canada receives no Government funding. We appreciate your help. Donations are tax-deductible. Sincerely yours,
Hon. Jason Kenny Letter September 1, 2009
