December 15, 2006 Dear Friends, I do want to express appreciation for the concern that so many of you have shown about my health. I have been over some bumps in the road but my concern now is to progress with my materials that will be sent to the University of Alberta and will be open to everyone thereafter. And I do want to send you this summary of where we are now, and my best wishes. SEARCHING FOR THE TRUTH Sixty years ago I came to Ottawa as a young lawyer just called to the Bar of Alberta, to get a legal position in the Federal Department of Justice. I became the first woman appointed as a Federal Queen's Counsel. I wanted to find out why English and French could not get along together, and why the Federal Government, elected from all Canada, was concerned with Quebec but rarely with other Provinces. The answer is clear. Quebeckers tend to vote together, and are able to elect Prime Ministers. Prime Ministers repay those votes by special favours for Quebec. Other Provinces lose out. Quebec puts its own interest first, not the interests of Canada. It
does not regard itself as bound by the Constitution or by any agreements
it signs with the Federal or Provincial Governments. Statements by Quebec
politicians cannot be trusted. They rely on false history and myths. Those
are the seedbed for separatism and terrorists. Try reading William Johnson's
book: We cannot continue to ignore the Quebec Separatist Party in Parliament.
PARLIAMENT UNDER ATTACK The Gomery Inquiry exposed a massive scandal involving the Liberal Government, Prime Minister Chretien, the Liberal Party and Federal officials from Quebec. Prime Minister Chretien defended the payoffs as necessary to keep Quebec in Canada. That should have shaken up the political system and raised questions about why Quebec is allowed to be part of Canada. Quebec will continue to control the Federal Government and to be the cause of corruption as long as it is officially in the Constitution.
Not the new Prime Minister, Stephen Harper. He cannot. He is committed to Quebec needs. WHAT ABOUT THE NEW LIBERAL LEADER? The Liberal Party elected Stephane Dion as their Leader on December 2, 2006. He claimed to love Canada. Mr. Dion has been Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs for Prime Minister Chretien in the Parliamentary debates over recognition of Quebec as a Distinct Society without a Constitutional Amendment. He was not neutral. He used his position as Minister to demand that Ottawa become officially bilingual. He threatened to use Federal power against Ontario. He demanded repeatedly that all Provinces become bilingual (except Quebec). He ignored the Quebec language persecution and the language police. How can Mr. Dion be accepted by the Rest of Canada? Enclosed is a copy of an article from the Financial Post for August 8, 2002. It speaks for itself. WHAT YOU SHOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT: The resolutions about the Quebecois being recognized as a Nation within
Canada. WHAT YOU CAN DO It is time for strong Provincial Premiers to draft a Constitution that does not include Quebec. Canadians must have a Canada that no longer enforces bilingualism or discrimination against our peoples. The first step should be to shut off the funds that the Federal Government drains from other Provinces into Quebec. The second should be for Premiers to start urgent discussions with other Premiers and without the Premier of Quebec or the Prime Minister. This is the only option. Contact everyone you know who can help you get this message into your Premier's Office and into the media. Can it be done? Yes. Quebec is not bound by the Constitution. Neither is any other Province. Please keep me informed. And please help us financially with our work to uncover the true history. We provide Charitable Receipts.
MER/le PRESIDENT
